I started playing music when I was 4 on the fiddle, but began my love of saxophone at the age of 8. I enjoy the edgy contemporary repertoire and love to "shred a sonata" by sharing the classical saxophone with others.
I've created my own programs and shows in addition with teaching and touring to China twice!
Being a musician develops a variety of skills that are useful for in and outside music experiences such as punctuality, listening, sensitivity, knowing ones part in the context of the whole, understanding form, harmony, melody, composition, adapting and adjusting, looking for and responding to cues ... I could continue on :)
Other than playing the saxophone, I also wrote music for theatre, chamber ensembles and choir, remapped game controllers to be musical instruments, recorded a kids album and more!
